Showbiz Newsletter Winter Edition 2012

The winter edition of Showbiz is now available to access and contains all the highlights for the 2012 Royal Queensland Show (Ekka).

With just one week to go until the Ekka gates swing open for 2012, the final touches are being made. From August 9, the showgrounds will transform into a hive of activity as the RNA celebrates its 135th show. There will be loads of educational displays, wonderful fresh food and wine and an exciting evening program jam-packed with amazing entertainment, live bands and a brand new RACQ Fireworks Spectacular.

Since May, the Royal Queensland Food and Wine Show has crowned Australia's best dairy product, ice-cream, chocolate, lamb, steak and wine and Queensland's best sausages. This year's competitions have attracted great entry numbers and unearthed the best food and wine offerings.

This edition also contains a special Q&A with a long-time Ekka volunteer, Fred Slatter, who is celebrating his 50th show this year.

The RNA provides two user friendly Showbiz formats to enable members to either read the magazine online or download a high resolution print version.
