| | | | Judging Process
A total of 12 judges and four associate judges from across Australia are divided into four panels to judge wines over a period of five days. The judging panels will sip, swirl, taste and spit to find the wine award winners.
The quality of individual wine determines the number of awards given in each class. In some classes a number of Gold medals may be awarded, but in others no Gold or Silver awards are given if the judging criteria standards are not met.
