Education On Show

Education on Show is a competition section of the Show devoted to acknowledging work done by primary and high school students throughout Queensland. The competition covers a wide range of contemporary curriculum related skills and activities. Entry to the competition is on a school basis rather than the individual student, allowing schools to highlight their combined attitudes to issues under the topic. It is designed to encourage students to compete with quality exhibits that have been selected at school level and to showcase education as a vital and dynamic aspect of Queensland life to all who visit the Ekka.

The Education on Show competition is wholly aligned with the principle of primary and high school students adopting the role of stewardship for the environment and a sustainable future, incorporating local solutions for global problems and developing respect for all aspects of their environment.

The theme for Education on Show 2010 will be "Sustainability".
